This been used in Chinese medicine for more than 5000 years and is one of the most prized and expensive Chinese herbs. It is used to reduce stress, increase energy and motivation, strengthen the immune system and decrease fatigue. Studies have shown that Panax ginseng enhances physical performance in athletes, while the Soviet scientist, Dr Brekham, identified it as a superior adaptogen, normalizing body functions, reducing stress and preventing disease. Further studies in Japan and India have demonstrated that rats fed with Panax ginseng were able to learn tasks quicker, perform at a faster rate and make fewer mistakes than those in the control group. Panax ginseng should not be confused with either Siberian ginseng (Eleutherococcus senticosis) or American ginseng (Panax quinquefolius).

No, Focus ADDult is not the product to use for ADHD. For children with ADHD, use BrightSpark and Focus ADHD Formula. For adults and teenagers, use Focus ADHD Formula.
11. Can I take it with Focus ADHD Formula?
Yes, if you have ADHD (with the hyperactivity). While Focus ADDult is a very effective herbal remedy for helping with the symptoms of ADD, for ADHD it can also be very effectively combined with Focus ADHD Formula.
12. Can I combine Focus ADDult with your Homeopathic remedies?
Yes, FocusADDult can be safely taken with any other Native Remedies homeopathic medications. This is often recommended, especially for teenagers with anxiety issues.
13. Can I take it with prescription ADD/ADHD medications?
No, FocusADDult may not be taken with prescription ADD/ADHD medications. Before starting use of FocusADDult, you must discontinue use of any other prescription ADD/ADHD medications. Be sure to consult your doctor before doing so.
Other Native Remedies products can be used in conjunction with prescription ADD/ADHD medications however, such as BrightSpark . BrightSpark will help to improve the effects of medications such as Adderall, Concerta, Ritalin and Concerta with no risk of interference.
14. Should I continue to take other ADD/ADHD medications?
Ideally, you should stop taking these medications to follow a more natural approach and avoid the negative side effects experienced with these drugs. And remember, you cannot take these at the same time as FocusADDult. It is important to cease using those products before starting to use Focus ADDult. Since many of these medications have strong withdrawal effects, you should consult your medical practitioner for advice on how to wean off those products.

15. How do I wean my child off other ADHD/ADD medications?
(This answer below applies for kids over 12 years of age. For those under 12 years of age, check out the BrightSpark product and FAQ's)
As you know, Adderall, Ritalin and Concerta are amphetamine stimulants and if they have been used for some time, your child will probably experience withdrawal symptoms when he/she stops using it. These are usually fatigue and moodiness, often with frequent tears and low tolerance levels, which can last up to 2 or 3 weeks.
To wean off these, we suggest:
- Try to find the least stressful time possible to begin to reduce the dosage. A school vacation is often good - especially if some family members can also take time off to support him/her while they are coming off the drug.
- As the Native Remedies BrightSpark formula can be taken together with any of these drugs without any adverse effects, we recommend that you begin your child on BrightSpark a week or two before you decide to start cutting down on the drug. Incidentally, BrightSpark is also particularly effective with children who have difficulty with anger and violent impulses. Some people experience an almost immediate improvement with BrightSpark, while for others a 3 - 5week period is needed to see significant results. Begin taking the BrightSpark exactly as directed on the bottle.
- After a week or two of the BrightSpark, halve the dosage of the prescription drug for about a week and then give your child the reduced dosage every second day for a further week. While all may go smoothly, be prepared for some difficult times and try and ensure that there is as little stress on your child during this time as possible. At this point you can begin giving your child a full dosage of Focus ADDult.
- If all goes well after this, you can completely cut out the prescription drug and continue with Focus ADDult.
16. Does it have any contraindications?
The only contraindications for Focus ADDult are for other prescription psychiatric ADHD medications, including Ritalin, Concerta, Adderall and Strattera. Additionally, Focus ADDult should not be taken if you are pregnant or breastfeeding. For all of these circumstances, use BrightSpark instead as, being homeopathic, it is safe for such cases.
17. Can I take it if I am pregnant or breastfeeding?
